24 happens to be my one time favorite TV show, I only started watching it in 2007 but I managed to catch up to everyone, I watched 5 seasons in about 3 months, then at the time season 6 was showing, we are currently watching season 7 which is great and looking forward to the “Film” of 24, anyway here is my views on the TV series.

24 is a unique TV show which started in 2001, it tells the story in real time, each show lasts for about 43 minutes so finishing off with adverts its exactly an hour every episode, and every episode shows an hour in a day, the great thing about it is it uses the “24 clock” which comes up every so often to tell you what time they are in. The main character of this show is Jack Bauer played by Kiefer Sutherland, us 24 watchers go by the rule of no Jack, no 24.

Day 1

In the first few minutes of season one jack is actually happy in the type of life he wants to be in now. He is with his family, his wife Teri Bauer, played by Leslie Hope and his daughter Kim Bauer who is played by Elisha Cuthbert, the show starts at 12pm so they are more or less going to bed. About 10 minutes into the episode Jack gets called to CTU, the Counter Terrorist Unit were jack is currently CTU Director. They have been given a very important task to protect Senator David Palmer, played by Dennis Haysbert, as the threat level on him has increased, because he is a very important presidential candidate.

Before jack gets to CTU he finds that Kim, his daughter has ran away to a party so in the next few hours his wife goes out looking for her and jack gets into work to be pre briefed by Nina Myers, played by Sarah Clarke and the other directors, one person man tells Jack some important news that there is someone spying inside CTU that could be a threat. Jack soon finds him facing the toughest and longest day ever after finding out that his wife and daughter get kidnapped by some people that seek revenge on him and Senator David Palmer for killing there family in a top secret operation.

Jack eventually managed to save Kim and Terri but they soon get recaptured by the help of the CTU mole Nina Myers assisting the Drasens in using Jacks daughter as a hostage to make Jack kill senator David Palmer. Luckily jack managed to save David Palmer and his daughter escapes the Drasens. Nina’s cover is blown when the Drasens tell Nina to tell Jack that there daughter has been killed, jack then managed to get into the Drasens hideout and kills them.

In the final hour, Jack finds out that his daughter is still alive and that Nina is the real mole in CTU, Nina attempts to make an escape. Earlier on in the day Terri Bauer is brought in to CTU as she also managed to escape from her captives, but later find Nina Trying to escape. And currently known as one as the most shocking deaths on television Nina Murders Terri Bauer, the season ends very bad for Jack as he finds his dead wife in CTU.
